Mud Season

Mud Season.

I love this image more than ever. One of the last trips I took to visit my mom when she was alive. This was her killer yellow robe I remember her wearing on various Christmas mornings as my parents watched us opening gifts. The vacuum was my great Aunt’s incredible old vacuum she had at our family camp. I have no idea how it got back to our house and I do not want to analyze the germs inside.

But, I created this image of a frustrated housewife vaccuming up the mud in her driveway during the famous New England season called Mud Season.

I am so pleased to say I still own this muddy driveway. I still have mom’s yellow rob hanging in her old closet. I assume the old vacuum was discarded with much other stuff from the estate.

This…thing…called making art…makes me happy.
